Five ways to use Geranium essential oil
to balance hormones
Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens)
Aromatic Profile: It has a heady, sweet, fresh, floral, and sensuous odor. It is a middle note.
Blends well with palmarosa for hormonal regulation and as an adrenal restorative. Use with clary sage for PMS, menopause symptoms. and stress. It pairs well with cypress for pelvic and uterine decongestant regarding heavy periods. Use with lemon as a liver decongestant and detoxifier.

Volume 1: Principles and Profiles, geranium essential oil nourishes the blood and regulates menstruation and menopause. It promotes emotional stability and calm as it works as a nervous system relaxant for anxiety. This oil is particularly good at regulation and restoration. Geranium addresses many female hormone issues by balancing estrogen and progesterone deficiency. It regulates and restores the adrenal and cortisol function, thus managing stress, alleviating fatigue, salt cravings, afternoon energy slumps, and menopausal symptoms. It has the ability to affect blood sugar balance and acts as a lymphatic and liver decongestant and detoxifier as well as helping with high blood cholesterol. It is also an anti-inflammatory. This oil is stellar for hormone balance.

Geranium oil applied to the bottoms of the feet, both morning and evening, mixed with a carrier oil, has been proven to significantly reduce cravings for sugar and simple carbs.

This beautiful oil is very supportive emotionally so I use it often in mood enhancing blends. Its energetic wisdom seems to know just how to comfort and soothe in the midst of hormone chaos.
Geranium oil is an astringent. It has the ability to minimize the look of wrinkles as it tightens facial skin and slows down the effects of aging. It’s my secret weapon to aging! Add two drops of geranium oil to an unscented organic lotion or mix with apricot kernel oil and apply it twice daily. After a week or two, you will see the look of your wrinkles begin to fade away.
